R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  death of Rogers Herndon Marsh, Sr., of Mineola, who passed away on
  April 1, 2013, at the age of 85; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Leggett on May 19, 1927, Rogers Marsh was the
  son of Manton and Ruth Marsh; he answered his nation's call to duty
  with valiant service in the Korean War, and after returning home, he
  had a long career as a manager with Southwestern Bell Telephone
  before retiring in 1981; and
         WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. Marsh enjoyed the love and
  support of his wife, Helen, with whom he shared more than six
  decades of marriage; over time, their treasured family grew to
  include a son, two daughters and their spouses, and three
  grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Rogers Marsh enjoyed a life that was rich in the
  intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those
  who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Rogers Herndon
  Marsh, Sr., and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his
  family: to his wife, Helen; to his son, Rogers Marsh, Jr.; to his
  daughters, Susie Carraway and her husband, Harvey, and Kathy Nail
  and her husband, Mike; to his grandchildren; to his three brothers
  and four sisters; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rogers
  Marsh, Sr.
