| WHEREAS, The Flatonia FFA floriculture judging team made an | ||
| impressive showing at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March | ||
| 7, 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The members of the Flatonia floriculture team | ||
| demonstrated their vast knowledge of plant life when they won the | ||
| championship title in the 4-H and FFA Floriculture contest, | ||
| bringing home the traveling trophy; the contest included tasks such | ||
| as identifying 50 different plant specimens and completing a | ||
| general knowledge exam consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Team members Raegan Bass, Brianna Louvier, | ||
| Mackenzie Cox, and Jade Hernandez each made significant | ||
| contributions to the group's success, and Ms. Bass, Ms. Louvier, | ||
| and Ms. Cox earned individual honors by placing fourth, fifth, and | ||
| eighth, respectively; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through many hours of practice and study, these | ||
| exemplary young Texans have achieved great success in competition, | ||
| and they are a source of tremendous pride for their families, | ||
| school, and community; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Flatonia FFA | ||
| floriculture team on their outstanding performance at the Houston | ||
| Livestock Show and Rodeo and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
