| WHEREAS, Martha Rochford of El Paso has been selected as one | ||
| of the 2013 Women of Distinction by the Texas Association of Mexican | ||
| American Chambers of Commerce; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Now in its second year, the TAMACC Women of | ||
| Distinction awards program recognizes Latinas across the state for | ||
| their outstanding professional accomplishments and civic | ||
| contributions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An El Paso native with more than 25 years of | ||
| commercial banking experience, Ms. Rochford is the area business | ||
| banking manager for Wells Fargo; she joined the company in 2008 and | ||
| now oversees the Border Business Banking team, which serves | ||
| customers from Yuma, Arizona, to Brownsville; previously, she was | ||
| an executive director for the International Trade group at JPMorgan | ||
| Chase, and she worked for Coopers & Lybrand after beginning her | ||
| career with MBank; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This dynamic Texan holds both a bachelor's degree in | ||
| accounting and a master's degree in international management; | ||
| dedicated to her community, she serves on the boards of Project | ||
| ARRIBA and the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; she is also a | ||
| member of the Borderplex Alliance; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Martha Rochford has won the high regard of | ||
| innumerable people through her achievements in her field and her | ||
| civic leadership, and she is indeed deserving of this prestigious | ||
| accolade; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Martha | ||
| Rochford on her selection as one of the 2013 Women of Distinction by | ||
| the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce and | ||
| extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Rochford as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
