R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Anagha Deepak, a junior at Round Rock High School,
  has distinguished herself through her participation in the 2023
  United States Youth Ambassadors Program in Ecuador; and
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau
  of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Youth Ambassadors Program
  brings together high school students and adult mentors from across
  the western hemisphere to promote mutual understanding, increase
  leadership skills, and foster a strong sense of civic
  responsibility through in-person and virtual exchange programs;
  and
         WHEREAS, One of only 18 students selected to visit Ecuador
  among thousands of applicants, Anagha Deepak was chosen based on
  her exemplary record of service and leadership, as well as her
  foreign language and critical thinking skills; as a youth
  ambassador in Ecuador, she engaged in various workshops and was
  actively involved in a number of community service initiatives,
  such as volunteering at a local school and planting a tree in Cumbe;
  she also immersed herself in the country's cultural practices and
  met with personnel at the U.S. Consulate in Guayaquil in order to
  present her ideas on multicultural areas that can help advance the
  long-standing relationship between the U.S. and Ecuador; and
         WHEREAS, For the final phase of her journey as a youth
  ambassador, Ms. Deepak is undertaking a project benefiting the
  Greater Austin community this fall; in recognition of her many
  achievements, she has accrued numerous accolades and awards,
  including the President's Volunteer Service Gold Award,
  Congressional Award Bronze and Silver Medals, and a Mayor's Special
  Recognition Award from Round Rock mayor Craig Morgan; and
         WHEREAS, Anagha Deepak has demonstrated remarkable drive and
  initiative in working toward her goals, and she may indeed reflect
  with pride on her accomplishments as she looks forward to a future
  bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Anagha Deepak for
  her participation in the 2023 U.S. Youth Ambassadors Program in
  Ecuador and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Deepak as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
