| WHEREAS, Temple Community Clinic celebrated the 30th | ||
| anniversary of its founding at its annual Caring Ball on February | ||
| 11, 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Established in 1992 through a collaboration between | ||
| Leadership Temple and local physicians and community leaders, | ||
| Temple Community Clinic seeks to expand access to quality health | ||
| care for uninsured and underinsured residents of Bell County; the | ||
| clinic offers a wide range of services in areas such as cardiology, | ||
| gynecology, and dentistry, and works to ensure the overall | ||
| well-being of its patients through wellness education and mental | ||
| health care; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Last year, the clinic served more than 1,500 | ||
| patients at over 4,500 appointments, greatly reducing hospital and | ||
| emergency room visits; to better meet the medical needs of area | ||
| residents, the organization is in the process of building a new, | ||
| larger facility; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Over the past three decades, Temple Community Clinic | ||
| has made vital contributions to the health and welfare of countless | ||
| Bell County citizens, and it is indeed deserving of recognition on | ||
| the occasion of this significant milestone in its history; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Temple Community Clinic for 30 years of | ||
| service to the community and extend to all those associated with the | ||
| organization sincere best wishes for continued success with their | ||
| important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Temple Community Clinic as an expression of high | ||
| regard by the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
