| WHEREAS, Sandy Snyder was honored as the Firefighter of the | ||
| Year of the Hoover Valley Volunteer Fire Department at the Hill | ||
| Country 100 Club Membership/Awards Banquet on January 15, 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Founded in 2002, the Hill Country 100 Club provides | ||
| valuable support to first responders in Central Texas; each year, | ||
| the organization's awards banquet honors outstanding peace | ||
| officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and support | ||
| staff in Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and Lampasas Counties; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Snyder became a resident of Hoover Valley in | ||
| 2006 and joined the Hoover Valley VFD Ladies Auxiliary in 2008; she | ||
| completed her training as a firefighter in 2012 and has since | ||
| participated in more than 360 calls; currently, she is pursuing | ||
| certification as an EMT; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through her skill and dedication to duty, Sandy | ||
| Snyder exemplifies the highest ideals of her profession and | ||
| contributes immeasurably to the safety and well-being of her fellow | ||
| citizens; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Sandy Snyder on her selection as | ||
| the Hill Country 100 Club Firefighter of the Year of the Hoover | ||
| Valley Volunteer Fire Department and extend to her sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Snyder as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
