| WHEREAS, Dr. John Redman of Chambers Health has set an | ||
| inspiring example by participating in nine medical mission trips to | ||
| five different countries; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A board-certified physician, Dr. Redman practices | ||
| family and emergency medicine at Chambers Health, where he serves | ||
| patients in the Anahuac area; beyond the scope of his work at the | ||
| clinic, he has traveled to Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador, | ||
| and Moldova to provide medical care to people in need; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Last September, Dr. Redman was part of a team with | ||
| Global Health Outreach, a short-term international missions | ||
| program that visited Nicaragua for a week to perform a variety of | ||
| health care services for underserved residents; the team treated | ||
| approximately 900 patients of all ages, to whom they provided | ||
| medical and dental care, medications, and even reading glasses at | ||
| no cost; members of the group even ventured into the mountains to | ||
| deliver medications and a walker to a patient who was unable to | ||
| travel to their temporary clinic; and | ||
| WHEREAS, By sharing his time and expertise to serve people | ||
| across the globe, Dr. John Redman has demonstrated the strength of | ||
| his commitment to helping others, and he is truly deserving of | ||
| special recognition; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Dr. John Redman for | ||
| taking part in overseas medical mission trips and extend to him | ||
| sincere best wishes for continued success with his important work; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Dr. Redman as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
