R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Jack Oliver Faegre of
  Denton were deeply saddened by his passing on March 11, 2023, at the
  age of 88; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Selmer Albert Faegre and Mabel Lucile
  Monroe, Jack Faegre was born in Jefferson Township, Iowa, on June
  15, 1934, and he grew up with the companionship of his sister,
  Phyllis; he graduated from Iowa State University with an
  engineering degree, and from 1959 to 1970, he served as an officer
  in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, retiring at the rank of
  captain; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Faegre subsequently moved to Texas and began
  working for Texas Instruments in Dallas; he later held engineering
  positions with Frito-Lay and Rockwell International; and
         WHEREAS, Following his retirement from Rockwell, Mr. Faegre
  settled in the Robson Ranch community in Denton and became actively
  involved in county elections, serving as an election judge and as
  the only Republican precinct chair for Robson Ranch for nearly 20
  years; an advocate for voter participation, he was instrumental in
  establishing the Robson Ranch clubhouse as a polling site for early
  and election-day voting; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Faegre benefited from the
  love and support of his wife, Creeda; he took great pride in his
  children, Kyle, Carrie, and the late Lorna Fallon, and his
  stepchildren, Brandon and Christopher, and he was further blessed
  with six grandchildren, Max, Sam, Heather, Elliott, Nathaniel, and
  Ashlyn, and a great-grandchild, Maci; he was a lifelong fan of the
  Dallas Cowboys, and in his younger years, he was an avid skier and
  enjoyed taking family ski trips to Colorado; and
         WHEREAS, Although Jack Faegre will be greatly missed, he has
  left his loved ones with a wealth of memories that they will forever
  cherish; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jack Oliver Faegre and
  extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn his passing; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jack
  Faegre.
