| general use items for the elderly to be exempted from sales taxes. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 151.313 Tax Code, is amended by adding | ||
| subsection (e) to read as follows: | ||
| (a) The following are exempted from the taxes imposed by | ||
| this chapter during first weekend in August of each fiscal year: | ||
| (1) Wheelchairs, walking canes, walkers, adult diapers, and | ||
| decompression socks. | ||
| This Act takes effect August 1, 2015. | ||
