SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 110
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Ramiro Munoz, Jr.
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Carrizo Springs in mourning the loss of Ramiro Munoz,
  Jr., who died June 11, 2013, at the age of 58; and
         WHEREAS, Ramiro Munoz was born on July 18, 1954; he grew up
  to become a treasured community leader in the town of Carrizo
  Springs; at the time of his death, he had been serving for less
  than a month as the town's new city manager; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Munoz was married and was the father of two
  grown children; he was also a grandfather and was noted for his
  love of young people, his work as an educator, and his efforts to
  raise funds for scholarships; and
         WHEREAS, He had a longtime successful career as the manager
  of H-E-B stores in Carrizo Springs and Crystal City; following
  his retirement he served as a mathematics teacher at a local
  intermediate school; he was dedicated to his work as a teacher,
  and he postponed his starting date as city manager so he could
  help his students with their state-mandated testing; and
         WHEREAS, Ramiro Munoz was respected for his high standards
  and his many accomplishments; he was a generous, warm, and
  kindhearted person who gave unselfishly of his time to others;
  and
         WHEREAS, He was devoted to his family and was an exemplary
  gentleman who was beloved by many, and he will long be remembered
  with affection and appreciation by all who were privileged to
  share in his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Ramiro Munoz, Jr.; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Ramiro Munoz.
