| WHEREAS, Aedan McLennan participated in the National Rural | ||
| Electric Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth | ||
| Tour during the summer of 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the | ||
| Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Mr. McLennan joined some 1,500 | ||
| students from around the country for an all-expenses-paid trip to | ||
| Washington, D.C.; in the course of the program, he learned about | ||
| U.S. history and government, met with local political | ||
| representatives, and toured various historic sites, such as | ||
| Capitol Hill, the U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington National | ||
| Cemetery; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A freshman at Texas Tech University, this bright | ||
| young Texan is currently pursuing studies in business | ||
| administration; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Aedan McLennan has distinguished himself as a | ||
| young leader of great promise, and he may indeed take justifiable | ||
| pride in participating in this exciting experience; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th | ||
| Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Aedan | ||
| McLennan on taking part in the 2023 National Rural Electric | ||
| Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend | ||
| to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. McLennan as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas Senate. | ||
