SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 361
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Lipan High School boys' basketball team, which
  recently won the 2023 University Interscholastic League Class 2A
  state championship title; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Lipan Indians were victorious in their
  appearance at the Class 2A boys' basketball finals in San
  Antonio; these young athletes have demonstrated great talent and
  perseverance throughout the school year, and the members of this
  championship team can take pride in their outstanding
  performance; and
 
         WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of
  head coach Brent Gaylor and assistant coaches Jimmy Lott and
  Garrett Stewart, and with the support of the team's managers,
  trainers, and statisticians, the Lipan Indians have developed
  exceptional teamwork and discipline; and
 
         WHEREAS, Lipan High School and the City of Lipan are proud
  of the Indians for their hard work, their impressive skills, and
  their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, hereby commend the players, coaches, and staff of
  the Lipan High School boys' basketball team on the Indians'
  successful season and congratulate them on winning the 2023 Class
  2A state championship title; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
