SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 730
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Jack Franklin Hardwick
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of Dr. Jack Franklin
  Hardwick, who died April 10, 2013, at the age of 80; and
         WHEREAS, Jack Hardwick was born September 14, 1932, in
  Pavo, Georgia; he moved with his family at the age of 14 to
  Galveston, and he graduated from Ball High School; he married Pat
  Williams while he was a young man, and the couple was blessed with
  four children; and
         WHEREAS, He attended The University of Texas at Austin and
  earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical
  Branch at Galveston; he moved to Fort Worth with his family and
  entered into the practice of family medicine; he enjoyed a
  fulfilling 52-year career as a physician; and
         WHEREAS, On Thanksgiving Day of 1979, Dr. Hardwick married
  Jane Walker, and they enjoyed 33 years of marriage together; a
  leading Fort Worth citizen, Dr. Hardwick was active in numerous
  community organizations, including The Bridge, the Fort Worth
  Opera, and the Texas Exes, and he served as president of the local
  YMCA; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, compassion, and generosity, he
  gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom and his enthusiasm for
  living each day to the fullest will not be forgotten; and
         WHEREAS,
 
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
  bereaved family of Dr. Jack Franklin Hardwick; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
  so in memory of Dr. Jack Hardwick.
