| WHEREAS, When they married on June 15, 1963, Virginia Nell | ||
| Stowe and Woodrow Michael Brimberry made a lifetime commitment to | ||
| each other, and their mutual trust has been amply rewarded, for | ||
| they are now celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mike and Virginia were married at Central Baptist | ||
| Church in Crockett, Texas; they graduated from The University of | ||
| Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy on August 27, 1968, and moved | ||
| back to Crockett to open their own independent pharmacy; and | ||
| WHEREAS, They are noted in the Crockett community for their | ||
| gracious spirit and their generosity; in 2010, they established | ||
| the Rock of Ages Foundation, which provides grants to senior | ||
| citizens who are on a limited and fixed income and have no private | ||
| health insurance; the grants help pay for prescription drug costs | ||
| and have helped many individuals with their medication needs; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Brimberry have been blessed with a | ||
| wonderful family, and they are beloved and respected by their | ||
| children, Cheri Brimberry Huddleston, and her husband, Brock, | ||
| and Dustin Brimberry, and his wife, Pamala; the couple has also | ||
| been blessed with four grandchildren; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend congratulations | ||
| and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Michael Brimberry on | ||
| their 50th wedding anniversary; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in | ||
| their lives. | ||
