WHEREAS, Mudita Cafe and Bar, the first coffeehouse in the Ocean View section of Norfolk, has helped cultivate a strong and welcoming sense of community in the area; and
WHEREAS, derived from Sanskrit, "Mudita" embodies the essence of joy and happiness experienced through the well-being of others, and Mudita Cafe and Bar strives to create a sense of belonging and unity among local residents; and
WHEREAS, in addition to providing craft coffee and cocktails, along with delicious food, Mudita Cafe and Bar fosters a community space where inclusivity thrives and all patrons can find empathy and camaraderie; and
WHEREAS, Mudita Cafe and Bar hosts a variety of diversity events, trivia nights, and open microphone sessions to nurture a safe environment that celebrates Norfolk's rich cultural tapestry; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Mudita Cafe and Bar hereby be commended for its contributions to the Ocean View community; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Mudita Cafe and Bar as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its commitment to bringing joy to its customers and all local residents.
