HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 396
Commending Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral.
 
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, March 8, 2024
 

WHEREAS, for 10 years, Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral has provided opportunities for joyful worship and spiritual growth to its congregation and generous outreach to the wider community; and

WHEREAS, originally known as Faith Works Fellowship Church, Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral was founded by Bishop D. Stefan Adams on July 20, 2014, and the first service was held under a gazebo in downtown Franklin; and

WHEREAS, as membership grew, Faith Works Fellowship Church began holding services in the New Hope Annex Building while looking for a permanent home; the church adopted its current name to honor Bishop Adams after his death in 2015; and

WHEREAS, Elder Patricia Brown was installed as the new pastor of Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral on July 19, 2015, and announced later that year that she had located a suitable building for the church on South College Drive; and

WHEREAS, Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral moved into its current location on February 7, 2016, and spent the next few years establishing a foundation for its many engaging church ministries, as well as youth Sunday school classes and minister training classes; and

WHEREAS, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the congregation of Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral maintained strong bonds and adapted to continue serving the community; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Brown was elevated to apostle in 2023, and has guided Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral to initiate a host of new programs and outreach ministries to enhance and enrich the spiritual and educational growth of the community; and

WHEREAS, from its original 35 members, Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral has grown to serve more than 150 individuals as of 2024; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral hereby be commended on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Apostle Patricia Brown, pastor of Faith Works Fellowship Cathedral, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the church's contributions to the Franklin community.
