WHEREAS, Tiffany Lee-Clarke, who was selected as the Alexandria City Public Schools Teacher of the Year in 2024, has given generations of students the tools and support they need to achieve success in and out of the classroom; and

WHEREAS, a veteran educator with more than 30 years of experience, Tiffany Lee-Clarke currently teaches third grade at Naomi L. Brooks Elementary School; and

WHEREAS, Tiffany Lee-Clarke is known in the school community as "Mrs. TLC" or "tender, loving caretaker" and builds strong, personal relationships with students to help them build self-esteem and encourage them to pursue their talents; and

WHEREAS, as a cancer survivor, Tiffany Lee-Clarke uses her life experiences to help students develop courage in the face of adversity and cultivate positive attitudes; and

WHEREAS, through her innovative teaching style and commitment to hands-on learning, Tiffany Lee-Clarke strives to make lessons engaging and relatable, ensuring students reach their fullest potential; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Tiffany Lee-Clarke hereby be commended for her service to young people in Alexandria on the occasion of her selection as the Alexandria City Public Schools Teacher of the Year; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Tiffany Lee-Clarke as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her contributions to education in the Commonwealth.
