HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 70
Commending Angela Kelly-Wiecek.

WHEREAS, Angela Kelly-Wiecek, an esteemed public servant, ended her term on the Hanover County Board of Supervisors upon assuming her role as chief deputy director of the newly formed Department of Workforce Development and Advancement on October 6, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Angela Kelly-Wiecek was elected as the Chickahominy District representative on the Hanover County Board of Supervisors in November 2011 and proudly served her constituents for more than a decade, including terms as board chair in 2017 and 2022; and

WHEREAS, during her tenure with the Hanover County Board of Supervisors, Angela Kelly-Wiecek represented the county as a member of the board of directors of the Greater Richmond Partnership, as well as through her work with the Capital Region Collaborative, Richmond Region Tourism, and other ventures; and

WHEREAS, the Hanover County Board of Supervisors' accomplishments while Angela Kelly-Wiecek was a member include several new public facilities, public safety enhancements, road improvements, high-speed internet development, and other initiatives designed to raise the quality of life in Hanover County; and

WHEREAS, as an industrial marketing consultant professionally, Angela Kelly-Wiecek brought more than 25 years of communications and public relations experience to bear to advance Hanover County's efforts in the areas of communications, citizen engagement, and public transparency; and

WHEREAS, Angela Kelly-Wiecek holds an associate's degree in science from Richard Bland College and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Averett University and is a graduate of Hanover County's Citizens' Planning Academy; and

WHEREAS, Angela Kelly-Wiecek's exemplary leadership and commitment to the health and well-being of Hanover County have helped to make the locality a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Angela Kelly-Wiecek hereby be commended at the conclusion of her service on the Hanover County Board of Supervisors; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Angela Kelly-Wiecek as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her contributions to Hanover County and best wishes in her future endeavors.
