A BILL for the relief of Edna Twiddy.

Whereas, in 1974, Edna Twiddy (Ms. Twiddy) lost her home to eminent domain and now will lose her home again due to eminent domain; and

Whereas, Ms. Twiddy will lose her home because of loss of access due to road-widening; and

Whereas, Ms. Twiddy may be able to gain access to her property from an easement estimated to cost $50,000; and

Whereas, Edna Twiddy has no other means to obtain adequate relief except by action of this body; now, therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That there is hereby appropriated from the general fund of the state treasury the sum of $50,000 for the relief of Edna Twiddy (Ms. Twiddy), to be paid by check issued by the State Treasurer on warrant of the Comptroller upon execution of (i) a release of all claims Ms. Twiddy may have against the Commonwealth or any agency, instrumentality, office, employee, or political subdivision in connection with the aforesaid occurrence (ii) an agreement binding Ms. Twiddy to use the moneys appropriated for the purpose of purchasing an easement.
