SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 178 Commending Anthony Onianwah.

 

Agreed to by the Senate, March 8, 2024

 

WHEREAS, Anthony Onianwah is a prominent entrepreneur, philanthropist, and leader who is dedicated to international business development; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Onianwah received acclaim for his accomplishments in the United States and Nigeria, including a personal letter of praise from the previous president of Nigeria; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Onianwah's company received the Minority Business Enterprise Energy Company of the Year award in 2008 from Maryland governors Robert L. Ehrlich and Martin O'Malley; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Onianwah serves as a member of the African Business Roundtable, the African Business Owners Forum, and Support for Improvement in Governance and Management; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Anthony Onianwah hereby be commended for his contributions to the African business community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Anthony Onianwah as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for his entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and leadership.
