FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

 

 

Allows an employer to pay a wage up to 35 percent less, rather than 40 percent less, than the minimum wage, for any employee who customarily receives tips or gratuities from patrons.

 

Prohibits a county, city or town from establishing a minimum wage that is more than the minimum wage established under this article.
