HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AMENDMENTS TO S.B. 1534

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:
"Section 1. Annuity disclosure; rulemaking; exemption; delayed repeal
A. The department of insurance shall adopt rules relating to the national association of insurance commissioners' annuity disclosure model regulation.
B. For the purposes of implementing this section, the department of insurance is exempt from the rulemaking requirements of title 41, chapter 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, for one year after the effective date of this section, except that the department shall provide public notice and an opportunity for public comment on proposed rules at least sixty days before the rules are amended or adopted.
C. This section is repealed from and after June 30, 2021."
