AN ACT
amending THE aRIZONA REVISED STatutes, by adding TITLE 18; relating to information technology.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. The Arizona Revised Statutes are amended by adding Title 18, to read:

ARTICLE 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
18-101. Electronic documents; definition
A. Notwithstanding any other law, if a statute or rule requires a person to submit an application, complaint or renewal form or any other documentation to any agency, the person may submit the application, complaint or renewal form or other documentation to the agency in a format that allows data entry.
B. Any agency that requires a person to submit an application, complaint or renewal form or any other documentation shall provide a method on the agency's website for the person to submit non-sensitive data for an application, complaint or renewal form or other documentation in a format that allows data entry.
C. Any agency that requires a person to submit an application, complaint or renewal form or any other documentation may provide a method on the agency's website for the person to submit sensitive data for an application, complaint or renewal form or any other document in a format that allows data entry.
D. For the purposes of this section, "agency" has the same meaning prescribed in section 41‑2952.
Sec. 2. Effective date
This act is effective from and after June 30, 2019.
