An Act

 

amending title 11, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 11-269.27; relating to food handler certificates.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 11, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 11-269.27, to read:

START_STATUTE11-269.27. Food handler certificate; school activities; volunteers; exemption

a county may not require a person who volunteers at a school activity or function where food is being handled or served outside of the school's regular food service to students to obtain a food handler certificate or identification card or participate in a food handler certificate training course pursuant to section 11-269.12 if the person is overseen by a certified food protection manager or person in charge as defined in Arizona administrative code r9-8-101(c)(3)(g).
