AN ACT

 

amending title 44, chapter 11, article 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 44‑1691.01; relating to consumer reporting agencies and fair credit reporting.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 44, chapter 11, article 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 44-1691.01, to read:

START_STATUTE44-1691.01.  Notice to consumer

A person must notify a consumer in writing Before the person may submit information to a consumer reporting agency about the consumer that will negatively affect the consumer's credit worthiness, credit standing, credit capacity, character, general reputation, personal characteristics or mode of living as it relates to the consumer's eligibility for credit or insurance to be used primarily for personal, family or household purposes, employment purposes or other purposes authorized under section 44‑1692.END_STATUTE
