An act to amend Section 52061 of the Education Code, relating to school accountability.

AB 398, as introduced, Chu. School accountability: local control and accountability plans.
Existing law requires, on or before July 1, 2014, the governing board of each school district to adopt a local control and accountability plan using a template adopted by the State Board of Education. Existing law requires the governing board of each school district to update its local control and accountability plan before July 1 of each year, and requires that annual update to be developed using a template adopted by the state board.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to the latter provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 52061 of the Education Code is amended to read:

52061.
 On or before July 1, 2015, and each year thereafter, a school district shall update the its local control and accountability plan. The annual update shall be developed using a template adopted by the state board pursuant to Section 52064 and shall include all of the information specified in the template.
