HR 10, as introduced, Voepel.

WHEREAS, Military personnel have sacrificed their own lives for the freedom of the American people; and
WHEREAS, Today, California is recognized as the number one state with the highest active duty service members across the country with over 184,540 active members; and
WHEREAS, California is home to one of the largest United States military bases in the nation at Fort Bragg with a population of over 238,646 personnel; and
WHEREAS, California is home to the largest veteran population in the nation with over two million veterans; and
WHEREAS, Veterans have dedicated their lives alongside active duty military personnel in order to protect our nation, to ensure that every American and California, has freedom, and to protect our national interests abroad; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, That the Assembly designates the month of November 2019 as Military and Veteran Appreciation Month to honor the sacrifices that have been made by honorable men and women in our nation through their service to this great nation and our great state; and be it further
Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly transmit copies of this resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.
