   An act to add Section 18080.6 to the Health and Safety Code,
relating to mobilehomes.

   SB 180, as amended,  Correa   Roth  .
Mobilehomes: sales: registration cards.
   Existing law requires every registered owner of a manufactured
home or mobilehome, upon receipt of a registration card, to maintain
the card or a copy thereof with the manufactured home, mobilehome,
commercial coach, truck camper, or floating home for which it is
issued.
   This bill would require these registration cards to be in 2 parts,
with one part to be retained in the vehicle and the other part, as
specified, to be submitted to the operator of the mobilehome park, if
the vehicle is located in a mobilehome park.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 18080.6 is added to the Health and Safety Code,
to read:
   18080.6.  Registration cards issued to owners of manufactured
homes and mobilehomes shall be in two parts. One part shall be
retained in the vehicle as required by Section 18080.4 and, if the
manufactured home or mobilehome is located in a mobilehome park, the
other part of the registration card shall be submitted to the
operator of the mobilehome park. The two parts of the registration
form shall contain identical registration information, except that
the part to be filed with the mobilehome park operator shall 
bear   have  the following notation:

   "Duplicate copy to be filed with the mobilehome park operator as
required by law."
