AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, MUNICIPALITIES AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE COST OF EDUCATING NONRESIDENT STUDENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Children and Families to reimburse towns for the cost of each nonresident student the department places in the education system of such towns.

Statement of Purpose:

To require the Department of Children and Families to reimburse towns for the costs of educating nonresident children that are placed in such towns.
