AN ACT CONCERNING RETIREMENT HEALTH CARE AND PENSION PAYMENTS FOR STATE EMPLOYEES INCLUDED IN CERTAIN COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that, for state employees included in any collective bargaining agreement negotiated after the passage of this act, no retirement health care or pension payments shall be paid to any such employee that retires before the age of sixty-five until the employee reaches that age.
Statement of Purpose:
To address skyrocketing costs by limiting the payment of retirement benefits to retired state employees who have reached the age of sixty-five.
