AN ACT CONCERNING THE MINIMUM AGE FOR OBTAINING A SAFE BOATING CERTIFICATE OR A CERTIFICATE OF PERSONAL WATERCRAFT OPERATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 15-140e and 15-140j of the general statutes be amended to provide that a person shall be sixteen years of age in order to obtain either a safe boating certificate or a certificate of personal watercraft operation.

Statement of Purpose:

To raise the minimum age to obtain a boating license.
