AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONSOLIDATION OF PUBLIC SAFETY ANSWERING POINTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 4-124s and 28-24 of the general statutes be amended to allow municipalities to apply to the regional performance incentive program for grants to assist in the consolidation of public safety answering points that serve a population of less than forty thousand or receive and process less than twelve thousand 9-1-1 calls on an annual basis.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide incentives for public safety answering points to become part of a regional emergency telecommunications center or multitown public safety answering point.
