AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY PRICE GOUGING DURING RELEASE OF FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FUNDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 319s of the general statutes be amended to establish a task force to study whether certain supermarkets engage in price gouging during periods in which federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program funds are distributed.
Statement of Purpose:
To study whether certain supermarkets engage in price gouging to maximize profits from federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program funds.
