AN ACT CONCERNING LICENSING FOR MANICURING SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 387 of the general statutes be amended to require any person who performs manicuring services to obtain a separate license from the Department of Public Health.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect public safety and reduce the workload of local health departments who must deal with a significant number of unlicensed facilities and the lack of a standardized training program and inspection criteria by the Department of Public Health.
