AN ACT CONCERNING REGULATION OF MEDICAL SPAS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 19a-903c of the general statutes be amended to add a provision specifying that the section does not prohibit a qualified health care provider, who is approved by a physician specializing in cosmetic medical procedures, from performing certain cosmetic medical procedures, including those performed using a medical device, that are (1) ordered by, and performed under the supervision of, a physician, and (2) performed in a location maintained by the physician.

Statement of Purpose:

To amend the statute regarding regulation of medical spas.
