AN ACT IMPLEMENTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE LEGISLATIVE PROGRAM REVIEW AND INVESTIGATIONS COMMITTEE CONCERNING THE PUBLICATION OF TUITION AND FEE SCHEDULE INCREASES AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SYSTEM TO TRACK GRADUATES' SUCCESS BY THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2014) The University of Connecticut shall regularly publish any scheduled increases or range of targeted increases in tuition and fees, including room and board, on its financial aid web site.

Sec. 2. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2014) The University of Connecticut shall collaborate with the Board of Regents for Higher Education, the Department of Education and the Labor Department in the development and implementation of the P20 WIN system to enable the university to report on the success of its graduates, by major, with regard to employment and earnings. For purposes of this section, "P20 WIN system" means a system that securely and privately links data across the agencies and departments that serve individuals as they progress from early childhood through educational programs and into the workforce for purposes of providing education and workforce leaders with the information they need to understand patterns over time and make critical decisions necessary to improve outcomes for individuals and the state.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
