AN ACT CONCERNING FREE WINE TASTINGS ON PREMISES WHERE WINE KITS ARE SOLD.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. Section 30-62b of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2014):

Any person, other than a minor, may, without payment of tax, produce wine for personal or family use only. Such wine may be transported in sealed containers for use at organized affairs, including exhibitions, tastings, contests or competitions, but shall not be sold or offered for sale. Any person who produces wine for personal or family use may provide free tastings of such wine on the business premises of such person, provided: (1) Wine making kits are sold on such business premises, (2) individual wine tastings are not more than two ounces per serving, and (3) not more than three such individual wine tastings are provided to any person per day.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
