AN ACT DEFINING STATE AGENCY LIAISONS AS LOBBYISTS UNDER THE CODE OF ETHICS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subdivision (12) of section 1-91 of the general statutes be amended to include employees of a branch of state government in the definition of "lobbyist".

Statement of Purpose:

To remove the current exemption of agency liaisons from being defined as lobbyists for the purposes of the code of ethics.
