AN ACT CONCERNING WATER UTILITY COORDINATING COMMITTEE BOUNDARIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide that Water Utility Coordinating Committee boundaries be drawn based upon watershed and basin attributes rather than on political or service area designations.

Statement of Purpose:

To ensure that decisions on the diversion of water into new service areas is based on watershed and basin attributes.
