AN ACT CONCERNING THE LABELING OF FOODS THAT CONTAIN GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate trigger events for the effectiveness of statutes pertaining to the labeling of food products that contain genetically modified organisms.
Statement of Purpose:
To enable the state to require the labeling of genetically modified organisms in food products.
