AN ACT REGULATING THE USE OF OUTDOOR WOOD-BURNING FURNACES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to regulate the use of outdoor wood-burning furnaces such that any outdoor wood-burning furnace installed after October 1, 2012, must meet EPA Phase 2 requirements and to prohibit the burning of materials other than wood pellets or wood that has not been chemically treated.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the environment by regulating the use of outdoor wood-burning furnaces.
