AN ACT WARNING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE RECIPIENTS ABOUT THE PERILS OF FRAUD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require that any state-funded advertisements or public service announcements promoting enrollment in state-administered assistance programs include warnings to recipients and providers about the consequences of fraudulently obtaining said assistance.
Statement of Purpose:
To alert recipients and providers of the consequences of fraudulently obtaining state-administered assistance thereby deterring fraud and instilling accountability.
