AN ACT AWARDING COLLEGE CREDIT TO VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS WITH FIREFIGHTER I CERTIFICATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to require the Connecticut State University System and the regional community-technical college system to award three college credits to any volunteer firefighter who has earned a Firefighter I certification and is enrolled in a public institution of higher education within the jurisdiction of said systems.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide college credit to volunteer firefighters with Firefighter I certification.
