AN ACT PROVIDING A CORPORATE BUSINESS TAX DEDUCTION FOR EMPLOYERS PROVIDING WELLNESS AND PREVENTIVE CARE PROGRAMS FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 208 of the general statutes be amended to allow a corporate taxpayer to deduct up to one million dollars each year from the taxpayer's total corporate tax liability for costs incurred by the taxpayer in providing wellness and preventive care programs to employees at the workplace.

Statement of Purpose:

To permit employers to deduct up to one million dollars from their corporate tax liability for the costs incurred in providing wellness and preventive care programs to employees.
