AN ACT CONCERNING THE MINIMUM BUDGET REQUIREMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2012) The Department of Education shall study issues involving the minimum budget requirement, as described in section 10-262i of the general statutes. Not later than January 1, 2013, the Commissioner of Education shall report on such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to education, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	July 1, 2012	New section

Statement of Purpose:

To require a study of issues involving the minimum budget requirement.
