AN ACT PERMITTING CERTAIN STATE EMPLOYEES TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL RETIREMENT TIME.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to permit members of the tier IIA state retirement plan to purchase additional retirement time for prior work performed for the federal government in federal law enforcement or corrections.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow certain state employees to purchase state retirement time for their prior work performed for the federal government.
