AN ACT AMENDING THE EDUCATION COST SHARING FORMULA TO A MONEY FOLLOWS THE CHILD APPROACH.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to revise the education cost sharing formula by expanding the definition of resident students to include students attending charter schools, interdistrict magnet schools, nonpublic schools by means of a voucher and nonpublic schools by means of a tax credit.

Statement of Purpose:

To establish a money follows the child approach to state education grant funding.
