| 2 | An act relating to regional workforce boards; requiring |
| 3 | that job orders placed with a regional workforce board for |
| 4 | the purpose of hiring certain nonagricultural workers |
| 5 | under a federal temporary visa program remain active for a |
| 6 | specified period; providing an effective date. |

| 8 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 9 | |
| 10 | Section 1. Job orders placed in connection with |
| 11 | application for workers under H-2B visa category.-If an employer |
| 12 | places a job order with a regional workforce board pursuant to |
| 13 | the federal certification process for nonagricultural workers |
| 14 | under 20 C.F.R. part 655, subpart A, as amended, or if the |
| 15 | employer posts such a job listing on the regional workforce |
| 16 | board's job-listing site, the job order must remain active for |
| 17 | at least 30 calendar days. |
| 18 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2010. |
