Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 1 of Chapter 9 of Title 12 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to air quality, so as to provide collective emissions limitations for facilities emitting pentachlorophenol near primary and secondary schools; to provide for penalties for noncompliance with such emissions limitations; to provide that compliance shall not alter the obligation to comply with other laws or regulations; to provide a definition of the term "pentachlorophenol"; to provide for powers and duties of the director of the Environmental Protection Division of the Department of Natural Resources; to provide for rules and regulations; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
