Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 35 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Georgia Crime Information Center, so as to authorize the State Personnel Administration to conduct fingerprint based searches of criminal history records of the Georgia Crime Information Center, a division of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for persons applying for certain positions of trust within state government; to provide for the authority of the Georgia Crime Information Center Council; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
